The Glass Studio
The Glass Studio

The museum runs a glass studio which is a popular attraction for tourists. The studio is open all year round and gives visitors a good insight into the skills of glassblowing. Pernille Knudsen & Theis Strange have been appointed as Studio Managers. They run the studio and demonstrate the glassblowing process. The studio is often rented out for short periods of time which gives glassblowers and students from various glass schools in Denmark and abroad, the opportunity to experiment and improve their skills. Many of the items produced in the studio can be purchased there.

During the summer the museum arranges special activities for children in the glass studio. In this period the Studio Manager will not work with blown glass every day.

The glass studio can be hired for shorter or longer periods of time. Applications for hiring the studio for the following calendar year must arrive at the museum by 31st December. All applications must be accompanied by a current CV, images of the applicant's work and the dates for the desired hire period. Glassblowers normally work in pairs, so it would be an advantage if applicants apply in pairs.
